Student | Developer | Engineer
Hi, I'm Kian Sadat, a computer engineering and data science major at the University of Arizona.
I am passionate student exploring the exciting fields of
machine learning, computer engineering, and business. I love creating projects
that blend technology with innovation, and I’m always eager to learn more and
take on new challenges.
My interests include building neural networks, diving into quantitative finance,
and exploring how artificial intelligence can revolutionize industries.
I am currently seeking summer internships or new job opportunities where I can contribute
to impactful work, gain valuable industry experience, and collaborate with talented teams.
I'm interested in working around quantitative finance, machine learning research, product development, or startup
companies.
I’m excited to take on new challenges and continue learning. Feel free to reach out—I’d
love to connect and explore how I can bring value to your organization!
Here are my most notable work experiences.
August 2024 - Present
Worked in the Translational Optical Imaging Lab on the computer vision team. Developed a GUI framework for lossless compression and noise reduction of reflectance confocal microscopy image data. Implemented a self-supervised deep learning noise reduction algorithm called Noise2Nyquist.
July 2023 - May 2024
Worked with researchers from the University of Utah’s HGN Lab for Bionics to improve an open source powered prosthetic knee design. Integrated wireless microcontroller mobile interface to display diagnostic data during bench top testing.
August 2023 - May 2024
CRaised over one hundred thousand dollars for ground breaking heart disease and stroke research along side other LoFI nominees.
June 2023 - July 2023
Intensive education and leadership program focused on understanding bioscience and translational medicine. Researched and presented on paper regarding a nascent PDAC treatment. Elected to represent and speak on behalf of cohort at closing symposium.
Here is an overview of my academic background.
2024 - 2028 (Expected)
Majoring in Computer Engineering and Data Science. Minoring in Finance. Pursuing a comprehensive curriculum combining software development, machine learning, and business-related coursework. Involved in extracurricular research labs and student-led engineering clubs.
2020 - 2024
Graduated with honors, maintaining a strong focus on STEM courses such as AP Computer Science, Calculus, and Physics. Engaged in STEM, music, and business oriented extracurriculars.
Here are some of the projects I've enjoyed building the most.
A few highlights that I’m proud of.
Recognized for outstanding academic performance during the fall 2024 semester.
Competed in the National German Exam and was awarded a silver medal.
Completed Wharton's online fundamentals of quantitative modeling certification and integrated advanced machine learning techniques.
Completed Stanford's online supervised machine learning certification and built many related projects.
